The approach we follow in each engagement consists of several key activities designed to assist our clients in identifying and hiring the best potential candidates, while minimizing the impact on time management.
• A full understanding of the position is developed from meetings and/or teleconferences with key members of the client's management team. At the same time, we seek to learn as much as possible about the client, its plans and its principles in order to maximize our effectiveness in representing the company. This is done at the initiation of the search.
• Potential candidates are identified through discreet inquiry among contacts whose ability to recommend people we have come to respect, as well as an extensive analysis of the marketplace by our Research Department. This process of going to our network of contacts, generating original organizational research and contacting those individuals will be concentrated in the first few weeks of the engagement.
• Prime candidates are then discussed in detail prior to any interview with the client. Our goal is to present a range of qualified candidates within a three to four-week timeframe.
• An experience dossier is prepared for each candidate selected for a personal interview with the client. At the same time, as many references as possible are checked while protecting the confidentiality of the candidate.
• We recommend targeting an interview team and dates for interview early in the process to avoid scheduling delays.
• Assistance is provided, as required, in final employment negotiations.
• Progress is reviewed with the client on a recurring basis during the course of the engagement.
Most of our clients also appreciate the anonymity that results from working through our firm. This is sometimes very important because of the many sensitive relationships that exist. When confidentiality is important, we avoid identification of the client until we are sure of the candidate's qualifications and interest in the position.
